The visual impression is also reflected in the design. Deliberately reduced to one channel, the designers focus on pure R&B sound, which is not to be distorted by superfluous electronic accessories. Fears that the parts have to be turned up all the way in order to sound halfway can be dispelled, because the Origin has a three-stage power soak to reduce the power to room volume.
The classification "single-channel" refers only to the technical side. In fact, a second gain stage can be activated soundwise. This is possible via the supplied footswitch as well as via the dual function of the master control. And the gain control also has this peculiarity. Here the signal can be boosted once more.
In the end, the amp turns out to be much more modern than the first impression suggests, because the tilt control for stepless control of the so-called preamp voicings as well as the integrated effect path are features we didn't find in "classic" amps.The Origin series consists of five models, three combos and two tops, with power outputs between 5 and 50 watts.
