LTD B-205SM NS Spalted Maple Natural Satin
The B-205 stands out first of all by its top, which is made of so-called spalted maple, a maple wood impressively spoilt by fungal decay. Of course, this need not be a cause for concern. If the splitting process is stopped in time by drying, it will not harm the wood. The headstock is also veneered with the same material, which enhances the visual appeal. Ash was used for the body. It is screwed six times to a multi-strip maple/rosewood neck. This leads to a well-balanced, defined tone, which is optimally implemented by the two humbuckers and, together with the active three-band tone control, makes it possible for the bass to fit into all musical styles.
The playability is problem-free thanks to the low weight of the instrument and the slim neck profile, and the manufacturing quality is at a high level, as is typical for LTD. Specifications
