Squier's Paranormal series brings long-forgotten models from the mostly glorious history of the traditional Fender brand to a wider audience. With their outfit that deviates from the mainstream, they set interesting accents and stand out advantageously from what could be called the grey masses.
For the low frequency range, the designers have taken their cue from the 54 Jazz Bass, not without helping themselves to the looks of its smaller brother, the Preci. The pickguard is reminiscent of the early Fender 4-string, which Sting still uses on the stage.
Quality, construction and playability are at the usual high level of the brand and provide a template for musicians who want to break new ground.
