The GSRM20B is one of the cheaper electric bass models in the manufacturer's portfolio and is clearly aimed at beginners on the instrument. The basis is a mahogany body, firmly bolted to a Soundgear-typical very narrow-profiled maple neck with short scale length, ideal for small and/or inexperienced hands and with its matte satin finish conducive to easy playability. The two single coils provide a growly and mid-range sound at the bridge and a round and warm sound at the neck, which can be further shaped by means of two volume controls and a treble trim. The tuning machines and the bridges are, as is understandable in this price range, not branded goods, but they do their job just as impeccably as the instrument is overall in terms of quality.
