The GSR-180 is an entry-level bass that definitely meets higher demands. In addition to the typical Ibanez impeccable playability, a favourable ergonomics and a well-balanced ballance, the individual components are anything but "cheapies". The body is made of Okume and produces a warm basic sound similar to mahogany, which is enriched with a good portion of overtones by the bolt-on maple neck. The amaranth fingerboard, also known as Purple Heart, gives a smooth feel right up to the highest registers.
The J-pickups from our own company adequately implement the solid sound foundation. The B10 bridge allows fully adjustable intonation and solid tuning stability.
Ibanez shows again and again that good things don't have to be expensive.
