This instrument is the bass version of the Les Paul Junior from 1958 and just as uncompromising as its guitar counterpart: one pickup, no arched body top, no bindings, instead a squeezing sound due to the shortened scale length, which makes the bass sound darker overall and sit very well in the mix.
