The Player series replaces the Mexican Standard series. Thanks to the Alnico 5 split coil, which replaces the ceramic pickup of the standard series, the Player Precisions are a bit more powerful in the basses and a bit more concise in the trebles. The difference is not extreme, but it should be a good fit for pushing, contemporary bass sounds.All in all, the Precisions of the Player series offer the usual Fender quality in terms of both sound and workmanship at a customer-friendly price.
