The Fender American Vintage II Series represents a remarkably accurate interpretation of the rightly named "revolutionary" designs that changed the course of music history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and carefully tuned vintage-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone. Starting in 1960, the P-Bass had a Strat-style headstock shape, comfort contours, pickguard-mounted electronics and a 4-saddle bridge.
After the first Preci, which was still strongly reminiscent of the Telecaster, Leo Fender brought a modified version onto the market as early as then.
The body is made of alder and has a very ergonomic design. A 1954-style split coil produces a powerful bass foundation with crisp overtones. The playability is without reproach and the workmanship leaves nothing to be desired. Made in the USA, the series was developed for players who appreciate the vintage Fender tone and feel.
