If the Telecaster is the mother of all solid-body electric guitars, then the Precision bass is the father of all solid-body electric guitars. After its market launch, it quickly conquered the hearts of the strumming guild. The name was inspired by the precise intonation due to the guitar-like soundboards. It was not until almost 10 years later that the Preci was displaced as bass number one by its successor, the Fender Jazz Bass.
In 2017, Fender introduced the American Professional Series, which is considered the successor to the Standard. The neck profile has been changed, the sides have become slimmer and the pickup is now the newly developed V-Mod Alnico split coil, the saddle is made of natural bone, the neck profile is based on the 63 design - Fender presents us with "more vintage" following general trends.The case is the same model that is used for the Elite series.
