Fender American Performer Mustang Bass RW Arctic White
The American Performer series replaces the Special series at the end of 2018 and includes specially developed Yosemite pickups that dynamically bring out the full tone of the bass. An interesting feature is the combination of a Mustang splitcoil, which has a strong Precision splitcoil tone, and a wiry-sounding Jazz bass singlecoil, so several basic sounds are possible. These can be further shaped with the Greasebucket electronics, which have the advantage of not successively raising the bout when the top is closed, thus still keeping the sound open and transparent. The modern C-profile neck with a matt satin finish is easy and comfortable to play; the flat fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius certainly contributes to this.
The elegant and impeccably executed finish in Arctic White and the artificially aged Perloid pickguard round off this beautiful instrument visually.
