Since 1983, the German manufacturer Engl has made a name for itself worldwide with amplifiers; especially in rock and metal, Engl guitar amps are very popular because of their distortion.
But we bass players don't miss out either: with 500 watts into 8 ohms or 800 watts into 4 ohms, the Ironbass has enough power for every average Bühne. The sound of the Ironbass is fully convincing. The four-band tone control intervenes courageously, the filters separate cleanly. With it, the sound can be flexibly influenced in any direction, and the adjustable drive channel, which is obligatory for Engl, should especially appeal to the guys and girls of the hard fraction. Thanks to the R&o;hren preamp, the sound remains warm and round even with growly settings.
If you look at the R&o;hren side, you will notice the comfortable equipment. The musician does not have to do without an effects loop, a separate tuner output and a balanced DI output. So it is only logical that the manufacturer provides professional Speakon combination sockets for the speaker connections. With just 6 kg and compact dimensions, the amplifier is easy to handle and transport. The sturdy metal frame and the solid handle on the top also make it highly suitable for the road.
