The Swedish manufacturer is probably known to many for its high-quality bass effects pedals. The northern Europeans have also appeared as competent producers of bass amplifiers and cabinets. The Reidmar 752, whose name may remind you of the designations of a Nordic furniture house, comes with a powerful 750 watts at 2 ohms (450W/4ohms), a power output that is sufficient for all normal applications for rehearsal rooms and Bühne. With its compact dimensions and just 3.7 kg, it easily passes for a lightweight.
The times when bassists and their roadies needed an appointment with the chiropractor after completing a tour are history. The control options for sound shaping are generous. Remarkable is the parametric midrange control, with which the midrange frequency spectrum, which is so important for the sound character, can be processed over a bandwidth of 100 to 6000 Hz. An adjustable compressor, gain, drive (!), bright (high boost), bass and treble are also adjustable on the front. A practical feature is the possibility to switch off the entire EQ section at the touch of a button. If you get so tangled up in the parameters that nothing sounds any more, the player can quickly ground himself in this way. The character switch should be mentioned, with which a clear midrange reduction is carried out when the bass and treble frequencies are boosted.
The designers have also done a great job with the design of the amplifier back. Here, the user will find everything that makes technical sense to master the daily gig routine without any problems. Effect loop, headphone and di-out, Speakon socket and an aux-in, conceivable for feeding in play-alongs for &um;ben. The Reidmar 752 is a flexible all-rounder, whose EBS-typical direct response should be just as convincing as its charming, warm basic sound, which can be adapted to the artist's individual preferences with almost endless control options.
