When former Trace Elliot engineer and manager Mark Gooday founded Ashdown in 1997, he did so with the aim of developing bass amplifiers with even better sound at high power and touring suitability. After consulting with well-known bassists of the time such as John Entwistle or Mark King, the Ashdown ABM was created, still made by Gooday and his family in their living room.
The AMP 600 Head is an extensively equipped powerhouse for the Bühne, studio and rehearsal room with numerous possibilities to influence the sound. Besides a three-band tone control with additional contour controls, the amplifier offers an overdrive circuit, a compressor and an octaver. With a power of 300 watts, the amp is no lightweight, and can also be expanded into a professional stack with an external cabinet.
