The D series builds on the Challenger series. The D2-4 convinces with its solid cedar top in combination with rosewood for back, sides and mahogany for the neck. This results in a warm, mid-heavy and assertive tone that is balanced across all strings and has a surprising amount of sustain for an acoustic bass. It is equipped with a Fishman Presys+ preamp, which has a volume and a three-band tone control. In addition, the preamp has a tuner and switches for phase inversion and a notch filter. The signal can be routed via an XLR or a jack output (6.3 mm). The manufacturing quality is very good. Gig bag, strap and safety strap holder are included.
