The D series builds on the Challenger series; the D-Walker is a compact and, for its size, surprisingly solidly crafted instrument. The agathis body together with the mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard produces a wiry, defined tone that is understandably not particularly loud due to the small body size, but still stands up to a guitar, especially as the instrument unfolds a very different sound. Warm, full and clear down to the lowest registers, it's not bad that the B-Band A1.2 preamp only has a volume control. Due to the small body, the likelihood of feedback is pleasantly low. Visually, the bass also cuts a fine figure: the opaque white lacquer finish combined with the black fingerboard and body binding and the Florentine cutaway give it a minimalist, elegant look. The manufacturing quality is very good and the instrument comes with a gig bag and a strap. Specifications
