Since the screen frame also functions as a footswitch, the Korg Pitchblack XS consists almost entirely of display. In addition to a Bright mode for increased illumination, the compact and robust construction also has a selector switch that switches between True Bypass and Ultra Buffer mode. While the True Bypass mode ensures a particularly authentic and unadulterated tone, the Ultra Buffer mode amplifies the signal and thus guarantees a powerful sound even with long cables and effects chains.
