- Meinl Marathon Exclusive Series Bongo, Natural FWB200 Bongo Set 6" Macho & 8" Hembra with Free Ride System The Meinl FWB200 Free Ride Bongos are made from premium components and offer excellent sound characteristics. The patented Free Ride System allows the shell to vibrate freely. With the patented Meinl Free Ride System, the Macho and Hembra are no longer locked together with a wooden block in the middle, as is the case with other bongos, as this would impair the resonance of the instrument! With the system, both shells are firmly connected to the lower rim, which means that no holes have to be drilled in the shells. This allows a freely resonating bongo cup.
