Tubular Bells

Ringing bells in the orchestra pit!

Tube bells belong to the family of idiophones and were developed as an easily transportable musical instrument for orchestral use. Their sound is intended to be as close as possible to the model of the church bell. Steel and chrome-plated brass are used for the production and, depending on the pitch of the orchestra, tubular bell sets sound in 442 Hertz tuning.
