- Evans '56 Calftone 13" Drumhead Tomhead / Snarehead As a throwback to its founding year, EVANS introduces the 56 Calftone, a series of drumheads that addresses the sound and visual desires of lovers of the vintage era. In order to optimise the sound for smaller tom sizes, higher tunings and stronger response, a 7 mil thick film was used in the production, in contrast to the bass drumheads. Calftone reproduce the same sound character of traditional calfskin drumheads, the only difference being that they are made of synthetic material. Specifications
