SONOR SSD 11 1455 STS - Steve Smith 14x5.5 Signature Snare Steve Smith, one of the greatest drummers of our time, has been playing SONOR drums for more than 30 years. With this snare drum, Steve and the SONOR technicians have created a true masterpiece, especially dedicated to the sound, technical features, design and above all Steve's influence. The 14x5,5 Signature Snare Drum is an exceptional instrument! Made from an exclusive 2.5mm cast steel shell with additional 2.5mm reinforcing rings and two bells. Vintage style Phonic Series tuners with integrated TuneSafe, cast hoops and the REMO Fiberskyn 3 Diplomat head give the snare the features Steve needs for his distinctive sound. The result is a crisp, full sound with a smooth and immediate playing resonance. Steve uses this snare at every opportunity, whether in the studio or on tour with his band Vital Information or the Jazz Legacy.
