DW Collector's Series Concrete 14" x 5" Snare DW's Concrete snares are suitable for studio and live situations, although, or perhaps because, they are very different in sound from snares made of wood or metal. The 5.5mm thick shells have 45-degree ridges. "This drum is a completely different animal. Our (DWs) goal is to outfit drummers with as many sounds as possible, so this one definitely fits the bill.
