The evolution of the Starclassic series continues. From Maple, Birch über Birch/Bubinga and Bubinga, TAMA introduces a new combination of two wonderful tone woods for this successful series: Starclassic Walnut/Birch. The combination of birch and walnut emphasises especially low frequencies and mids. Birch provides the powerful and clear attack, walnut is the complement with the low frequencies. The typical sound of the TAMA Starclassic is strikingly audible, but the new wood combination makes it sound more up-to-date and modern. For the 6 mm toms and snares, four layers of European birch and two of American black walnut are used. The 8 mm bass drum has five layers of birch and two of walnut. Starclassic Walnut/Birch defines Tama's commitment to continuous development and inspires the contemporary drummer.
