Tremolo-tuned harmonicas are mainly used in folk music. They can be recognised by the transverse division of the individual air channels. The division gives each channel two tones that sound simultaneously, each when blown or pulled. These tones - which are actually identical - are tuned with small differences in vibration (floating tone) = "tremolo". The resulting sound is bright and vibrating.
